Let’s go 2021!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Well there wasn’t a lot to update through the final months of 2020, with the November lockdown cancelling the prospect of any autumn/winter racing that was planned!

I was kept busy enough with my first semester of my Physiotherapy degree at Winchester University, it took a bit of time to get my brain back into learning mode and the course is pretty full on but it was great to have a focus whilst there was so much uncertainty around elsewhere. Most of the learning has been online which has actually been great for me being a ‘mature’ student as it is easier to fit it in around work and training.

I’ve been planning to set myself up to spend more time offering Sports Massage but it hasn’t felt like the right time with the lockdown restrictions changing so frequently so fingers crossed it won’t be long before I can offer massage treatments again.

I have dug out all of my layers for winter running and cycling whilst the gyms are closed and I have managed to find most of the muddy puddles around where I live and have had a good few days out on the water either kiting or sailing - it is true that sometimes all you need is a little salt water therapy!

Really hoping that as the days get longer and we head into spring, we can get back out on the water and enjoy some more racing but for now its back to revision for my upcoming exams before getting stuck into some exciting projects in the pipeline later this year!

First practical exam in December- it has been interesting to learn practical skills in full PPE but I am very grateful that we are sill able to have time with hands on sessions.
